Hello from Tony Finch	Satellite TV Systems was formed in March 1986 with its primary focus being the provision of cost effective satellite receiving equipment for any one learning a language. In July 2002 we became incorporated as a limited company. Our experience and profile in this market place means that we are now recognized as one of the established leaders in this field. To date we have installed satellite receiving equipment for some 524 language departments and for over 600 linguists at home.

	Live broadcasts, News, Documentaries, are well covered by most of the foreign channels, particularly French channels such as TF1, France 2, France 3, France 4. German channels such as ZDF, ARD etc. Spanish channels such as TVE, Canal 24 Horas. Italian channels such as RAI UNO, RAI DUE, RAI TRE, plus many radio channels.

	To receive digital transmissions you do not require a special television, just a digital satellite receiver with appropriate dish. Digital transmissions allow the broadcaster to transmit their signals at a much reduced cost compared to the old analogue. Hence the plethora of foreign channels now available. There are No subscription charges, the channels are Free to view (except Russian pay services). Naturally before contemplating the purchase of a satellite system, I understand you will ask yourself do we really need one, and is it going to be a useful learning tool?
